High School Squash Club
The Courts are located at Northampton High School (see map) and cost £6.60
for 45 minutes.
Payments
A £36 prepayment deposit is to be paid. The £36 will be held in the clubs bank account and the
price of every court you book will deducted from the balance of the deposit as well as a one off £5 joining fee. You
can top up your prepayment deposit as and when you want to, but you won't be
able to book courts or come along to Club nights without appropriate prepaid
funds. The person making the booking will have the entire cost of the court
deducted from their prepayment deposit. It is the responsibility of the person
making the booking to seek reimbursement from their opponent for half the cost of
the court. Prepayment is necessary in order to ensure that the School's
monthly invoice does not exceed the funds available. Membership includes your registration with England Squash that entitles you to the following benefits: Personalised membership card; Ballot entry for event tickets; Squash Player magazine 3 times a year; Free Grading with esgrading.com; Eligibility to enter England Squash sanctioned events and attend coaching courses and workshops; Preferential rates from National Car Rental; Regular e-newsletter with latest news, offers and insights from the sport; Exclusive members’ equipment deals; £1,000 Free Dental insurance; Discounted accommodation rates from the 13 strong Grange Hotel chain; Exclusive rates on personal and business travel packages and insurance with Traveleads; 15% discount on any product within AXA/PPP healthcare’s Personal Medical Insurance Range and £5 credit on PSA Live
Club nights
Club nights will be held on the first Monday of each month. Club nights will be booked on
the bookings table and you will be notified by email of
a forthcoming club-night, the cost of which will be £2 to all members of the
club whether they attend or not.
Ladder
We also run a ladder in addition to the monthly leagues. Once you've registered and logged in you will be able to add your name to the bottom of the ladder and challenge anyone above you. You only have 1 chance to challenge anyone afterwhich you will only be able to challenge up to 3 places above you. This is a great way to start playing matches with club members prior to joning next months league.
Using the Squash Courts
Players are responsible for ensuring the state of the squash court and as
such you are able to invite guest players, but they should always be accompanied
by a member of the club. The club member will be held personally responsible
for any damage they do to the facilities.
NON MARKING SOLES ONLY to be worn on the court at all times.
When you attend the school grounds the sports hall is the smallest building
to the left of the main school building. To meet with fire safety regulations
you are required to complete a signing in book in the caretakers office which is
just to the right of the squash courts. The signing in book has "Squash" and
"Rob K" on it.
